Landwise are excited to announce that we have recently expanded our services to offer a number of fully Custom Build schemes on selected plots, alongside our continued Self Build plots - providing even more opportunity for those seeking to build their dream home.
All of our Custom Build and Self Build sites benefit from already having planning permission, either outline or detailed, getting the difficult planning negotiation part out of the way. Those with outline consent will usually have an approved plot passport which sets out the design parameters of the site such as the building footprint, height and material pallet. This type of consent provides a blank canvas, allowing more free rein over the design. Detailed consent is when the full design has already been approved, and allows for smaller changes such as internal layout amendments and editing the external and internal finishes.
Custom Build
Our new Custom Build package enables you to purchase the plot at commencement with agreed stage payments for Landwise to build the final approved design and specification for you, with the ability to make amendments and personalise the internal layout, specification and finishes. Landwise would arrange for all building control approvals and a 10-year self-build warranty for the completed property.
Self Build
Our Self Build option offers an assisted alternative, where if required, we can offer our advice and expertise at every stage of the process to ensure your build runs smoothly, as well as directing you to contractors and suppliers. Plots on larger sites are fully serviced by us with mains services, gas, water, electric and mains sewer and road constructed to base course, and there is a strict but reasonable timescale imposed for each purchaser to complete their property. A management company is set up on each multiple unit site from the outset to deal with completion and future maintenance of the shared infrastructure.

Register With Local Council
As well as keeping an eye out for our new projects, it is vital that you register your interest via your local council’s website (or the council area you hope to build within). The council will approve self build plots based on supply and demand from this register, therefore the more people who sign up, the more plots that will be approved and become available to those searching. This helps to ensure that everyone can find a plot to fit their needs.
